Flagstaff - Bushmaster Skate Park
For their first public skate park, the City of Flagstaff required the contractor, Valley Crest, to retain a qualified consultant to assist them through the several stages of construction. SITE was hired by Valley Crest to review all drawings, specifications, attend construction meetings, and provide on-site assistance and review. Several of the original design details were modified and innovative construction techniques were applied, resulting in a quality facility. The Bushmaster Skate Park received the 1998 Editor's Choice Award for best new Public Park and a 10 out of 10 rating by Thrasher Magazine, the largest distributed skateboard magazine in the world.
